Social media has changed the world
Have you changed with it?
Often described as one of the great equalisers of publishing, social media provides anyone with access to the internet a gateway to create and share whatever content they wish, in real-time. Potentially reaching a worldwide audience of billions of people, usually for free, that same opportunity is available to any business, including your practice.
Many professional practicess try to use social media as a marketing tactic, only to walk away disillusioned. The reasons for that frustration and failure can be many, but most often get down to a simple lack of understanding what’s required to be successful when selling, on what is essentially a socially-oriented (i.e. not a sales) platform.
Who is your tribe and where do they gather?
Until you understand who your tribe are, where they gather, what they want and the value you can deliver to them, social media will be a waste of time for you. Content is fire and social media is gasoline. That fire (your content) will never combust unless you place it where the gasoline (your tribe) is gathering.
